Truck Pull







You try taking 70 stone bricks 150 meter putting them on the back of a 4 and a half ton truck and then pulling that truck up a 3% grade for 150 meters. Well the Weight Loss Challengers did just that in under 30 minutes. The red team won by 2 minutes and both teams were very tired.

Jeopardy for WLC 2008





As much as it is important that each one of the challengers exercises, sometimes we tend to forget the biggest part of fitness is between the ears. One challenge was Jeopardy. It tested their knowledge in nutrition and exercise. The team that answered the questions right got to pick from a hat and the exercise that was picked everyone else had to do. Jon, Nicole and Vicky won this challenge and boy was everyone else tired. Good job to all for their knowledge and understanding of nutrition.

Soccer Challenge



Red verses Blue Soccer. Blue never showed up. Now don’t get me wrong they were there but only in body. Red won this 8 to2. Just for giggles after the challenge they then ran suicides three times. This was a regulation size full size court. Good job to all.

Jeopardy

Chair Challenge




And you thought sitting was a piece of cake. Try sitting and then getting up over 500 times and for over 45 minutes. This was an individual challenge and the way this was done was when I said stand they stood and when I said sit they sat. They were not allowed to use their hands, only their legs. Cindy won this without even breaking a sweat. The next day to say that walking was a feat in itself is putting it mildly. Good job guys.

Weight Relay




To date the hardest workout we have had. As you know we have two teams red and blue. We then broke those teams out to mini teams and ran this challenge. There were three stations, Treadmill, Dumb Bell Chest and Bend-over’s. The men had to lift 30 pounds on the DB Chest and 95lbs on the bend over. The women had to lift 15 pounds on the DB Chest and 45lbs. The way a team wins this challenge is on points. You have 15 minutes for each station and for every 500lbs lifted is considered a point and for every mile run is considered 1 point. The two above won the challenge in impressive fashion lifting over 1 ton of weights and running over 1 mile.

.75 mile run

Their first .75 mile run. This was won by Cindy at 10:35. They all had to run 10 times around the school library. All Finished.
